The Knight’s Cup is Sunday, October 2, 2022. Once again we will be dividing Council into two teams.
Foursomes will consist of two man teams (Golfer A and Golfer B) from both the North and the South. Each
6-hole match below is worth 1 team point. The team with the most points wins. The format is as follows:
HOLES 1 THRU 6: MATCH PLAY
Each golfer will play their own ball. For each team, the lowest score per hole between Golfer A and Golfer B
will represent that team’s score. The team with the lowest score wins the hole. The team that wins the most
holes wins the match play.
HOLES 7 THRU 12: SCRAMBLE
Standard 2-man scramble format. Both players will hit from the tee. The team will then decide which shot will
be used and both players play from that spot. Play continues in this fashion until the ball is holed. One team
score is recorded. This score is cumulative, so don’t give up if you fall behind early.
HOLES 13 THRU 18: ALTERNATE SHOT
For each team, on each hole, Golfer A and Golfer B will hit a drive from the tee box. The team will then decide
which drive will be used. Golfers will then alternate shots until the ball is holed. This format is the fairest and
gives each golfer on the team a shot at a par 3. This score is also cumulative.
COST: The cost to play is $65. This includes greensfees, a beer at the turn, and pizza at the club afterward.
Please sign up by September 23. Include an honest range for
your score for 18 holes. We will make every effort to
accommodate team sign ups, provided we can make fair
matches, so sign up as teams if you want.
Please pay bartender at time of sign up. Tee times will be posted at the club as soon as they are available.
First tee time will be 10 A.M.
